Hundreds of youth in Pierce County are hurting, homeless, and hindered from living their full potential. Many of these youth battle depression, isolation, addiction, and trauma–often fighting to survive just for the day.
Since 1997, The Coffee Oasis has offered hope and opportunity to youth in Washington state. Thousands of youth have found safety, healing, and a home through The Coffee Oasis. 1,085 youth connected to services for their safety and well-being at The Coffee Oasis during 2022.
Since August of 2019, The Coffee Oasis has operated the only underage youth shelter in Pierce County. Street outreach has connected with 1,285 youth and 397 youth have accessed shelter at The Coffee Oasis in Tacoma. And thanks to the support from community partners like you, on May 20, 2023 The Coffee Oasis opened our first Pierce County Café and Youth Center! Yet The Coffee Oasis needs your help to continue to offer youth a safe place in Pierce County.
