Hundreds of youth in Pierce County are living on the streets, couch surfing or living in temporary shelter. Many of these youth battle depression, isolation, addiction, and trauma. They need safe, reliable, and compassionate care.
In August of 2019, The Coffee Oasis opened the first 24/7 emergency underage youth shelter in Pierce County! The Coffee Oasis Tacoma Shelter offers youth 13-17 years old a safe and encouraging place to live while they work towards sustainable housing and employment.
Yet The Coffee Oasis needs your help to continue to provide shelter and resources for youth in Pierce County.
You can help provide shelter to youth in Pierce County by participating in the 2021 Coffee & Corks event. Whether you bid, raise your paddle, or purchase a swag pack, you will be providing shelter and resources for youth in Pierce County. You will offer youth a place to find rest, safety, and hope for the future.
This year, Coffee & Corks will be a hybrid event. It will be held at the beautiful Historic 1625 Tacoma Place and will stream live online.

COVID Precautions & Guidelines
Since the beginning of the pandemic, The Coffee Oasis has made every effort to enforce the latest health recommendations regarding COVID-19. We want to be respectful and careful. COVID has hurt many people.
The Coffee Oasis is committed to upholding the latest federal, state, and local guidelines regarding this pandemic. Since our commitment is to uphold the guidelines, it is possible that we will have to transition to a virtual event if state guidelines change. This also means that we will be strictly upholding masking guidelines at the event.
If you don't feel safe attending this event—whether you are a staff member, volunteer, or have already purchased tickets—we want to make it easy for you to transition to the virtual option or receive a refund. Last year's virtual event was a wonderful experience and we hope you choose to still participate that way if you do not feel safe coming to the in-person gathering. Either way, we hope you choose to join us online or on-site for this hope filled evening!
